Seems like an oxymoron. Desert and beauty in the same sentence? Absolutely! Most of the time the desert is bleak and neutral in color, but when it blooms it is a beautiful place to see.
The purple flower above and the green that supports is is smaller than my hand It’s a tiny thing.
The prickly pear cactus is a hazard to get near, but it flowers this beautiful and fragile bloom which is stacked with pollen to propagate and assure other species feed and live.
Seems the blooms of the desert look like Fire orange or Saffron. All the beauty for only a short time then back to conservation and survival mode.
